Prompting's of the Spirit

This I haven't done and didn't because
I didn't know about it and that I should.

"...The attitude of writing down even
the simplest things that may come from
the Spirit would invite the Spirit back agin."
  By Elder Henry B. Eyring

"...We should lean, too, that the prompting
that goes unresponded to may not be re-
peated. Writing down what we have been
prompted with is vital. A special thought
can also be lost later in the day in the rough
and tumble of life. God should not, and may not,
choose to repeat the prompting if we assign
what was given a low priority as to put it aside."
  By Elder Neal A. Maxwell

"..Write down impressions or thoughts that you
feel came from God...,think carefully about
whether the truth you recceived requires action.
It is by obedience to commandments that we
qualify for further revelation of truth and light...
God not only loves the obedient, He enlightens them.
I fear that more people make promises to God then
keep them,so you will please Him when you are the
exception and you keep your promise to obey."
  By Elder Henry B. Eyring

Hopefuly we all might be able to do better
at these's things. Anyway give it some thought.

Hi Cathyjo! Yes, writing things down can be a very good thing.. spiritually, but at the rate I'm going, it's also a necessity! If I don't write it down, I WILL forget!... I see you're from NY too! It's going to be a long day I think, so I set all the fans to blow the hot air OUT, I doubled my stock of ice cubes, and hopefully we'll get to go for a swim later. Hope you're keeping cool and comfortable where you're at; and that despite the heat, hope you and your furbabies can still enjoy the day! ~tina
